The Swedes can't seem to stay in motion for more than 6 good months at a time. After the release of Tempest, Matt and I played a solid 6 months before our restlessness caught up with us. After adding a rhythm section around the time we finished the Things I Tried to Forget EP the band went at it for another 6 months.
Then as we began to wrap up a few new recordings for a second EP, changes put us back in a holding pattern. Enter John Wooster. The Swedes then put out a Catching up with... box set on Sink Hole Records and began to play with an assortment of talented drummers. We even made our way down to Texas for a fall tour, but as always the 6 month curse caught back up.
So the swedes are once again looking inside and at each other, searching for the next few songs. We are best when we are writing. I sometimes think that our interest in music rest solely on our love to write and record.
If you don't have Catching up yet, I recommend you get yourself a copy. It is not a bad set of 20 plus songs.
New songs are a coming soon. Shows on the other hand will have to wait.
